Change of direction
The project started as an app helping immigrants in Canada navigate local social conventions. But research made us question its premise: it asked newcomers to adapt without inviting others to do the same. That insight shifted our vision. We reimagined it as a shared experience that promotes understanding and celebrates cultural diversity across the world.
Challenge

We chose bright colours to evoke enthusiasm and reflect the game’s diversity.
Illustration style
Initially aiming for semi-realistic characters, we ultimately opted for simplified, stylized, and memorable designs that support personalization and fun, immersive animations.
Celebration
Short mini-game rounds inspired by each country’s culture, traditions, and everyday life turn global differences into moments of fun and discovery.
Education
Players learn by doing. Each interactive mini-game invites them to tap, move, and make choices as they explore different cultural settings. With information kits available during and after gameplay, every challenge becomes a chance for hands-on learning and deeper cultural understanding.
Collaboration
Players work together to complete tasks, learning from each other and depending on one another to succeed. Collaboration is emphasized through team animations and interactive friend interactions, making every contribution meaningful.
